BALI
18th – 19th December 2013
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news and best possible views from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well I can tell ya’s now the last few days have been tough when it comes to looking for a wave. Maybe one of the longest periods of small waves we’ve had for quite a while. But anyway that’s surfing. The second half of today’s photo gallery (18th) comes from up at Canggu here on the West Coast. Make no mistake, the surf was micro sized pushing the one to one and a half foot mark, but still big enough for the grommets to have some fun on the shorey. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy until around 9.00AM when a solid rain front blew in from the SSW.
Yesterday the 19th and we were back on the hunt and down at Uluwatu. Not a lot bigger surf wise down there either for that matter, but still big enough for a paddle and get wet. The morning low tide session on the Racetrack probably had the better waves. Clean and glassy surfing conditions lasting through until 10.45AM when the rain kicked in.
Weather wise we have had some decent rain falling over the last few days. The pattern at the moment is, nice sunny mornings followed by cloud then rain.
Hopefully today the 20th we might see some slightly bigger waves out there, we;ll fingers crossed anyway.
The next tide today will be a 0.2mtr Low at 5.30AM
