BALI
8th December 2013
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (working through the weekends since 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a solid low tide with 1-2ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time the wind was coming out of the NW.
So with minimal swell on offer we headed down to Uluwatu on the southern end of the island. Arriving at 9.15AM to find 2-3ft waves breaking on all sections between Temple’s and the top of the Racetrack. The tide was running in and the wind by now more WNW but still fairly light. Only 1 other surfer in the water at first but by miday the numbers were pushing 100. The wind by this time was more WSW and time to head home.
Today’s surf report from Keramas came through at 8.30AM calling wave height at 1-2ft on the main break with 6 surfers in the water. Surfing conditions clean and glassy.
Weather wise we’ve had a mostly overcast day with a few sunny patches thrown in. Currently right now at 4.45PM there are some seriously dark clouds moving in and we’ll be getting some seriously rain some time real soon.
