BALI
15th -16th January 2014
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (doing what we do since 1999) to see what’s happening surf and weather wise here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so as it shows in our latest photo gallery, yesterday we had little other options than to head back over to the East coast of Bali. Strong Westerly wind that occasionally flicked further around towards the SW, pretty ordinary wind direction to say the least. But like I said, as it shows in today’s gallery there was plenty of fun sized waves.
Weather wise yesterday it was mostly grey and overcast but no real rain fell while we were on the East coast but still warm and humid through midday.
This morning the 16th and here in Tuban the rain started falling at 7.00AM and is still coming down now at 8.00AM. No chance to get down to the beach for a surf recon on the Outer Reefs, but I do know the wind is already howling outta the West. So we’ll be rolling back over to the East side of the island shortly.
The next tide today is going to be a 2.1mtr High at 10.30AM
Hey and check out the errosion on the river mouth photos in today’s gallery. In all the years I’ve been going to this place I’ve never seen 12 – 15ft high banks cut into the sand, there’s a helluva lot of sand going off the beach into the ocean ?
Oh yeah there’s also the December January Bodyboarding photo gallery on line, if that’s what your into check it out.
Thanks again for dropping by and we hope your having a good one today.
