BALI
7th -8th January 2014
Hi surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you close to Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best possible views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so here’s yesterdays East Coast photo gallery that Ketut brought back for us. And as it shows surfing conditions were fairly faultless with shoulder to over head high waves and smooth as silk surfing conditions. Crowd wise there was the usual high numbers on the main break but not too many surfers at the locations close by.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was also still showing wave height to be in the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean enough at the time with the wind coming lightly out of the NW.
Ketut took a run down to Uluwatu with Pat this morning around 8.30AM to see if there was anything happening down there. According to the boys there was some chest to head high waves with the occasional bigger freak set. Surfing conditions were still clean enough with the wind light on shore, 5 surfers in the water at the time.
After Uluwatu they cruised over the back end to Nusa Dua to find wave height there breaking in the chest to over head high class. Surfing conditions were cleaner with the wind coming more cross / on shore. There was also a lot more surfers in the water at Geger beach.
I tell ya what the boys did a great job today they even tweaked our baliwaves Surf Cam back into order and ready for you to watch the next swell start to arrive, hopefully the day after tomorrow. I guess I had better buy em a couple a beers later this afternoon.
Weather wise it’s been a a nice summers day here on the holiday island with a midday temperature going well into the 30’s on the Celsius scale.
