BALI
11th – 12th January 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (working through the weekends since 1999) to see what’s going down surf and weather wise from here on you favorite tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Yesterday the 11th we had a light NW wind so as it shows in this current photo gallery we were back over on the East Coast looking for the best waves. Arriving at 8.30AM to find a very consistent 3 – 4ft on the main break of Keramas. Clean and glassy surfing conditions with the usual crowd of surfers.
I also cut a few photos from our baliwaves Surf Cam featuring the line up of Impossible’s, the last 6 featured photos.
This morning the 12th and our 6.45.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was still showing wave height breaking in the 2 – 4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were still clean and glassy at the time with only the slightest tinge of Northerly direction. Late yesterday afternoon there were some really nice waves out there all the way down to Airport Right.
Ketut and Pat have gone for a run up to Canggu here on the West Coast this morning (I actually get the day off to hang out with my kids at home today) and have checked in to call wave height hitting all 3 of the different breaks in the 3-5ft class. Best waves are on the right hand river mouth and the left hander at Echo. Lets hop the boys bring us back some good shots.
This mornings surf report from Keramas came through at 8.00AM calling in wave height in the 2 – 4ft range on the main break with 21 surfers in the water at the time.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 0.9mtr Low at 1.30PM
Weather wise we got off to another great start this morning with pretty much blue sky right across the board. There’s still a lot of blue up there now at 9.00AM but some solid cloud building to the South. All in all another hot and mostly sunny beach day.
