BALI
6th January 2014
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves (delivering the goods since 1999) for the start of another surfing week and the latest info on surfing and weather conditions from here on the little tropical holiday island that has something for the whole family, Bali.
Ok so this mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban had wave height breaking in the 3-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airports. There was a few slightly bigger set waves hitting Middle Reef. Wind direction was only light with a touch of NNE direction and the tide low.
So with these conditions in mind we got Ketut and Pat to take a run down to Bingin, seeing as though it’s been quite awhile since we were last down that way. As it shows in today’s photo gallery there was some real nice waves down there on the bottom of the tide. Surfing conditions were more glassy than anything and there was only 5 other surfers down there.
There’s also a lot of photos of our guest and friend Pat (orange shorts) Pat’s just counting down from his second 2 month stint in the last 6 months. Pat wanted to surf everyday, and he pretty well has. Clocking up as much water time as possible in good waves and improve his game, that he has !
Weather wise today it’s been a fair typ of day here on the holiday island. Mostly sunny with a few clouds.
Baliwaves Surf Cam as you may know has been down, Ketut and I have trial and errored everything possible and finally worked it out fingers crossed (hahaha). So as soon as we get power restored back at the hosts place we’ll be all over it.
