BALI
25th – 26th January 2014
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (working through the weekends since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Ok so we have been surfing over on the East side all weekend with the WNW – W wind calling the shots. Yesterday the 25th and we stopped in for a surf check at Padang Galak to find 2-2ft+ waves with a clean off shore wind so we couldn’t go past this, especially seeing as though there wasn’t another surfer in sight. Then it was up to Keramas for some lunch at Ngurah’s Warung and another quick paddle out the front of the warung.
Today the 26th and we were up before dawn and heading back over to Keramas to try and get some un crowded and clean waves. Arriving at 6.40AM to find no cars or bikes in the car park, but let down to see nearly 30 surfers already on the main break. But the car park section was still empty so that did us for our first session. Surf conditions were super clean through the morning before the wind turned more to the West blowing cross on shore. Wave height was in the waist to chest high region with the odd bigger head high freak set wave.
Weather wise it’s been a fairly mild day with lots of sunny breaks here on the holiday island. Currently right now at 5.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 26 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming out of the W-WSW at 15knot.
Ok friends of Bali that’s just about me for now, but drop in again tomorrow cause we’ll be back out there again for the start of another surfing week. I’ve also loaded up another old Padang Padang video clip (from the vault) andjust waiting for Troy to get it live on the baliwaves for ya’s.
