BALI
27th February 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for hanging around the baliwaves.com (keeping you in touch with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Yes sir it’s good to be back on Bali with my family and friends, but it was also fantastic to catch up with my Aussie family and friends while I was in Australia over the last 2 weeks.
Ok so my bags are unpacked and now it’s time to get the show back on the road. So here’s a little catch up photo gallery to start the ball rolling. Around 75 photos that were captured from both the East and West coasts of Bali.
Except for the first 26 photos that were handed over to me this morning from Mul and our good friends at EGO surf photography located right in front of the action at Bingin beach. Not bad hey, looks like we might be in for another early Dry Season with conditions like that in February.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was also showing some clean and fun waves. wave height at the time was only in the waist to chest high region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, Middle’s and Airport’s were picking up slightly more swell than Kuta Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a breath of wind coming out of the West.
Ketut has taken our guests for a wave somewhere this morning, but where ever he is he is in a location without any phone service. So we’ll just have to wait until he gets back to Home Base later on this afternoon to see what the waves were doing.
Weather wise outside today it’s been a mostly hot and sunny day so far here on the holiday island. Currently right now at midday the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is on 84%. Wind direction is coming out of the SSW at 8-10knot. There also looks like a lot of thick dark cloud moving in from the South and a chance of some more rain again tonight.
Swell Forecast, is looking pretty good for the next 7 days. Just a couple more small days to get through with Friday and Saturday then we will see a new swell start to arive some time Sunday after lunch, peaking on Monday. Then just as this system runs out of gas we get another slightly smaller swell moving in.
Ok friends I’ve got a lot of catching up to do around here especially on the baliwaves email side. I’ve also just discovered the baliwaves Impossible’s webcam has stopped sending us images so we will be checking it out tomorrow and hopefully back on line. So until tomorrow stay safe and have a good one what ever you’ve got on out there.
