BALI
28th February 2014
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (the first and still foremost Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday island of BALI.
Ok so to start off today’s photo gallery we have 16 photos that Ketut shot over on the East Coast. As you can see surfing conditions were clean and glassy through the early session before the Southerly wind kicked in around lunch time. Crowd wise Ketut said it was unusually quite in the area with only 20 surfers on the main break and a handful on the car park section and another couple of surfers down at Charlies.
The second 16 photos were dropped off to me this morning from Mul the man on the scene at Bingin and our good friends at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY located right on the beach in front of the mechanical left hand wave of Bingin. Mul’s excuse for only handing over 16 photos was that there was only 3-6 surfers on location all day.
This morning the 28th and our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing (as predicted) another slight drop in wave height with 1-2ft waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. Surfing conditions were not to nice with the wind on shore coming out of the WSW at 5knot+
Our man on the East Coast phoned in at 7.45AM this morning calling wave height in his area to be a very clean 2-4ft (waist to over head high) with only 15 surfers in the water at the time of the report.
Weather wise today here on the holiday island we kicked off with some very heavy rain through the early hours of the day which finally let up around 8.00AM (here in Tuban). Outside temperature right now at 1.30PM has the mercury sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 72%. Mostly sunny afternoon.
