BALI
8th – 9th March 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop with Bali since 1999) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on our favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI / INDONESIA.
Well just to fill ya’s in on yesterdays events and I can tell you Slim was not a happy camper. Starting off by taking a fall on some slippery floor tiles at home resulting in 1 broken bone in my right hand and a severely sprained right ankle. Needless to say slightly depressed. But after 12 X-Rays on my hand and foot and the highly professional Dr’s and Nurses at SANGLAH (public) HOSPITAL here in Bali taking fantastic care of me I’ll be back up and at em again in the not too distant future. Special THANKS to all the staff at Sanglah Hosptial (total cost was AU$100.00)
Yes that’s right I have edited today’s photos and typed up this report with my 1 operational left hand, dedicated ?
Today’s photo gallery does is featuring the mechanical waves of Bingin down on the Southern end of the island. With another big thanks to Mul and his team at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY located right in front of the action at Bingin beach for dropping them off to us.
This morning the 9th and Ketut’s 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking pretty good out there. Wave height is holding in nicely with 2-4ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right. Surfing conditions at the time were tidy as with the wind light out of the NE.
Today’s surf report from our man on the scene at Keramas was calling in wave height at 2-4ft on the main break. Only 11 surfers in the water mainly due to the low tide factor. It’s a certainty that wave height will pulse a bit more with the tide running in and the number of surfers will certainly be pulsing with it.
Ketut has taken a run over there with the camera equipment so we’ll know for sure when he gets back to Home Base here in Tuban, stay tuned !
I’ve also included a few photos from today’s Padma St Beach Clean up, thanks to the good people at Quicksilver (Indo), Garuda Airline & CocaCola here in Indonesia. I even managed to hobble down there with my walking stick and with a couple of our guests / friends and our man Ketut. Although it was disappointing to only see the staff from the sponsors on the beach at Padma St and no other westerners helping, those that were cleaning did a great job.
The beach to start with this morning was relatively clean and the Balinese locals do do their best to keep their territory clean & free from rubbish. All those disgusting images that people were loading onto FB etc a month or so back only happens for a couple weeks each year, not an everyday event as it was made out to look like. Bali will always be beautiful, if looked at through fully opened eye’s.
Just to finish off today’s photo gallery I’ve also thrown in another hand full of photos of my fishing crew when the Spanish and Wahoo were running hard last week. Just contact us if your a keen surfer / fisho and would like to try some Balinese style sport fishing.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.8mtr High around 3.00PM
Weather wise outside we have a super sunny Sunday heading for a midday top temperature of at least 33 degree’s Celsius. So if you don’t have and broken bones or sprains make sure your out there enjoying the perfect holiday weather of Bali.
We also have another new beautiful ex-pat owned Villa listed in our real estate section going for an un believable price, so if your thinking of changing your lifestyle or investing make sure you check it out here.
