Ok so how quickly have we chewd through the first two months of ’14, insanly fast. This current photo gallery was captured here on Bali’s West Coast yesterday the 1st at the ever popular location of Canggu. Wave height was pushing the head high range on the sets and surfing conditions were perfect. Being the weekend there was no shortage of surfers with close to 30 on the sand bar, 15-20 on Echo and another 20+ on the right hander. But even so there was plenty of fun sized waves coming through.
Today the 2nd and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a slight increase in wave height here on the West Coast. The tide was still rising at the time so Middle Reef was the best option with chest to head high waves and clean as glass surfing conditions. So I’d have to imagine there would have been some nice waves down on the Southern end of Bali early this morning on both sides of the island.
Weather wise earlier this morning the wind was coming lightly out of the NE, but currently now at 9.15AM it’s tending pretty well straight West at 5-8knot. No shortage of sun shine for our Sunday with the mercury heading for a midday high of 31 degree’s Celsius.
Our man over on the East Coast has phoned through and calling wave height at Keramas this morning to be in the 2-3ft range with the freak 4ft set wave. Surfing conditions at 7.30AM were pristine with a light off shore wind. 20 surfers on the main break and another half a dozen at the car park.
Tide wise there will be a solid 2.6mtr High coming up towards midday.
