BALI
4th March 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop with the place you can’t wait to get back to since 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Firstly today’s 88 strong photo gallery is made up with the first 60 photos taken down at Uluwatu this morning by Ketut. The send 30 or so photos were dropped off to me this morning from Mul and our good friends at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY located right in front of the barrel at Bingin beach.
Rightio, well our day kicked off with our mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. That was at 6.45AM, wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left had backed off some a touch but still some fun sized 2-2ft+ waves between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No surfers in the water at the time with the wind just starting to run back in. Once again Middle Reef had the best waves out of the big 3.
Surfing conditions were super clean and glassy with no wind present at the time.
From there it was time to hit the road with the camera equipment, and after the perfection hitting Uluwatu yesterday how could we not return for round 2. Arriving at 8.45AM to find wave height still a respectable 3-5ft (head to double head high) from Temple’s down through the Main Peak and trailing into the Racetrack section. Numbers wise once again there were only 20 – 30 surfers spread out through the whole deal. Surfing conditions at Uluwatu were just as good, clan and glassy and maybe the odd scent of off shore on it.
A quick check and photo stop on the bridge over Padang Padang was showing a very fat and full top end of Impossible’s with the surf schools all over it. I’d say the early morning low tide would have been best on Possible’s and likewise down at Bingin today.
Our man on location over on the East Coast at Keramas called through at 7.45AM calling wave height in the 2-3ft range with clean and glassy surfing conditions. Only 10 surfers in the water at the time (mainly because the tide was too low at the time) and I’m sure as the tide pushed in wave height would have been growing a little bit more as with the crowd.
Our guys over at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp texted through that wave height over at G-Land this morning was looking real nice in the 3-5ft range. Clean and glassy surfing conditions for the 3 lone surfers currently in camp.
If your thinking of a G-Land trip this year then make sure you contact us here at baliwaves.com first and collect your 10% discount and a possible up grade in accommodation thrown in.
Weather wise here in Tuban it’s been a top day with pretty well non stop blue sky all day and midday top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius. But as it shows in some of the photos there was plenty of cloud passing by down over the bukit.
We also have another new ex-pat owned Villa listed in our real estate section going for an un believable price, so if your thinking of changing your lifestyle or investing make sure you check it out here.
