BALI
29th – 30th April 2014
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of BALI.
Ok so here’s yesterdays photo gallery we shot here on the West Coast of Bali. Wave height was still in the 2-3ft range with a couple of 4 footers thrown in every now and again. Surfing conditions were clean with alight and variable wind through until 9.45AM. I also have to admit just how bad the traffic can get on the main road around Canggu, it was hideous.
Today the 30th and right on cue our new swell was already here waiting for us to wake up and enjoy it. Our 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was already showing wave height in the 3-5ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were pretty ordinary with the wind coming out of the NW at 6knot.
So my crew and I took a run over to the East Coast to see how the waves were looking. Our first stop was at Secrets but even from the highway we could see it was too big for the A frame peak. So from there we continued up to Keramas to find perfect waves hitting the main break at 3 to 5 feet with a couple of those freaky 6 foot freak sets. Surfing conditions were smooth as silk and there were only 15 surfers in the water at 9.30AM. I did manage to shoot some photos here and they come out nice so stay tuned for these beauties as soon as poss.
Weather wise today it’s been just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Right now at 4.15PM the temperature is still on 30 degree’s Celsius, Humidity at 71%. Wind direction is coming out of the West at 10-13knot.
Todays G-Land surf report from Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp was also calling in wave height in the solid 6 to 8 feet class, off shore wind and sunny sky.
