BALI
22nd April 2014
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (leading the way in Bali surf reports since 1999) for another look at just what this little tropical surfing holiday island has on offer for you on your next visit.
As it shows in this solid 67 strong photo gallery we snapped off over on the East Coast yesterday the 21st, it was cranking. The main break of Keramas was still off limits due to the JPSA having their trials event. But a little further down the beach there were also plenty of barrels, and the local boys (Ratif, Hendik, Betet & Gerber) were taking full advantage of the situation.
Yesterday I also up dated the Kandui / Mentawai islands & the G-Land surf report pages. Not too mention another sik photo gallery that @JoshSymons shot from in the water at BINGIN yesterday morning. You can find Josh’s photos in our Readers Report page. So don’t forget to check our “RECENT POSTS” section over on the right hand side or at the bottom of the page. There’s always something new on the baliwaves.
Our man on the sand at Bingin Mul from EGO surf photography has also dropped us off another batch of photos to process so we’ll deliver those to ya’s later on today.
Surf report from Joyo’s G-Land surf camp was calling more solid waves with in the 5-7ft range with clean off shore wind.
Just hit this contact us link and baliwaves.com will hand you a 10% discount for your next G-Land surfing adventure, as simple as that
Today the 22nd and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing some nice waves in the 2-4ft region and maybe even a slightly bigger set wave on Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the tide still running out.
Ketut and I are just about to head off and drag the 1000mm lens to somewhere here along Bali’s West Coast and see what we can find in the way of perfect waves. So stay tuned for some twitter up dates and more photos later on this afternoon.
The next tide today in Bali will be a 1.9mtr High at 3.00PM
Weather wise at 9.15AM we have a mainly clear and blue sky here in Tuban with some solid cloud banks down to the SE. Temperature wise we it’s 26 degree’s Celsius and heading for a high of 31C, Humidity ia on 91%. Wind direction is pretty much straight Easterly and time for me to get out there.
I’ll post today’s Dollar to Rupiah exchange rates on our twitter section in a couple more hours.
