27th – 28th April 2014
Hi everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop since 1999) for the leates news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Ok so yesterday morning the 27th after our 6.45AM surf recon on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Showing 2-2ft+ waves with a light NNE wind and on a rising tide we thought we’d head a little ways up the West Coast and hopefully find some good fun waves. This current photo gallery was shot between 8.30am – 11.00am and as it shows there was no shortage of waves. Wave height went from 2-3ft at first then as the tide peaked it went to a solid 3-4ft.
Weather wise it was a mainly sunny day with scattered cloud banks around the island. Temperature wise an easy 30 degree’s Celsius in the shade.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Seminyak yesterday, — 1US$=11,375 –1AU$=Rp10,620 —
This morning the 28th and looking pretty much the same as yesterday between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Around 2-2ft+ again with the bigger waves breaking on Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were clean with a light NE wind and rising tide.
Ketut has taken a run back up to where we were yesterday with the camera equipment while I catch up on some editing and mail. He has phoned through about an hour ago calling wave height still in the 2-4ft range and clean surfing conditions.
Weather wise today it has been mostly sunny so far this morning but those clouds are starting to fill in. Right now at 10.00AM we have 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity at 82%. Wind direction is pretty well outta the East at 5-9knot.
Our friends from EGO surf photography located right in front of the waves at Bingin beach have also dropped us off another batch of photos with a few nice tube sequences. So I’ll add that to my list of things to do as well.
