Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (the one and only original baliwaves since 1999) for the latest news and lots of views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happiest of all the tropical surfing holiday islands, Bali.
Ok so what we have for you today in our latest photo gallery is our morning session we had out at Kuta Reef and then 20 or so photos from over on the East Coast yesterday the 13th.
Yesterday the 13th and our primary objective was to kick off for the far north eastern end of the island hoping to score some waves at a certain long right hand point break. Arriving just before dawn to find 2 surfers in the water but wave height only in the waist to head high range. Just not quite enough swell getting in there but still enough for a paddle. From there we headed back down the coast for some lunch and another session at Keramas. K-Mas was still cranking through some solid 6 footers and still clean surfing conditions.
This morning the 14th and we decided on grabbing a reef taxi out to Kuta Reef one of my favorite waves in Bali. We hit it just around the rising mid tide just before the SE Tradey kicked in. Crowd wise it got up to around 35 surfers at it’s peak. But by the time we finished there would have only been a dozen left in the line up. Not the best waves I’ve seen at KR before but still there was some long rides.
Weather wise today it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day. Right now at 5.00PM the outside temperature is still sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is on 75%. Wind direction coming out of the East at 10-14knot.
Today’s G-land Surf Report from our friends at Joyo’s G-Land surf camp was calling in solid waves in the 6-8ft+ range. Clean off shore wind and only 20 surfers out there. Next speed boat trips to G-Land from Kuta depart May 16th, 19th & 20th
