BALI
28th – 29th May 2014
Hello everyone and twelcome back to your baliwaves (the original Bali surf report since 1999) for the latest news and best views from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so I’ve got a stack of stoke filled photos to load up for ya’s starting off with some action from Canggu yesterday and some selected shots from down at Balangan today. Then we have another 60 photos from our friends at Ego Surf Photography that they shot at Bingin over the last couple of days. Then by tomorrow morning we should have more photos from G-land and Joyo’s G-Land surf camp. Plus more sick photos from the Mentawai islands thanks to our friends at the Kandui surf resort.
Well yesterday the 28th and we were back up at Canggu for the morning session and it was well worth it as it shows in the bulk of today’s photo gallery. Crowd wise it was a bit full on both the right hander and the sand bar but there were plenty of waves pumping through.
This morning the 29th and our surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing a drop in size with only 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. So just for a change in scenery we headed down South to the very scenic Balangan beach. Wave height there was also in the 2-3ft range with a few over head freak sets. Strong off shore wind and no shortage of surfers there either.
Weather wise the last couple of days have been a mixture of early morning cloud and hot and sunny afternoons. Just the usual 30-33 degree Celsius temperatures and strong midday SE Tradewind.
Ok then tomorrow we should start to see another pulse in swell here in Indo so make sure ya drop in again tomorrow and see what we’ve been up to.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to Joyo’s G-land Surf Camp was calling in wave height at 3-4ft with a light off shore wind.
