BALI
15th May 2014
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves (setting the tempo for Bali surf reports since 1999) for the latest news and best biews on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the with out a doubt No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing another pulse in wave height, not that it had dropped off a lot in the first place. A solid 4-6ft+ between Kuta reef and Airport left with a light cross off shore NE wind. Seeing as though it was almost maxing out yesterday we through off and went for a surf check over on the East Coast.
Arriving at Serangan to find no surfers in the water with wave height in the solid 4-6ft range but with a lot of water moving around. After checking that out for 20mins we through off there as well and headed further up the coast. Arriving at 9.00AM to see some nice waves in the 3-5ft+ range and the wind still a light off shore. So my crew finally got in the water and had it all to themselves.
To finish off our morning we had breakfast at Ngurah’s warung at Keramas and I also managed to snap off 20 or so photos, featured in today’s photo gallery. Sometime close to 11.00AM the wind turned light on shore. The main break at Keramas also had some ok waves but also shifting around with a few close outs in the 3-5ft class. I did see 3 broken surfboards in a very short time while we were there.
Weather wise just another hot and sunny day here in Bali. At 5.00PM the temperature was still around the 30 degree Celsius mark, Humidity on 67%. Wind direction was out of the East at 10-14knot.
Today’s G-Land surf report thanks to JoYo’s G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height in the 6-8ft range with a clean off shore wind and sunny conditions.
