BALI
17th May 2014
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (keeping you in touch with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
Yesterday and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height between Kuta Reef and Airports in the chest to over head high class. The tide was still a touch low for KR and AL but Middle Reef had some shape being at it’s on that end of the tide. Wind direction was comin lightly out of the NNE.
But just for something different location wise we headed South down to the ever popular Balangan beach. Arriving around 8.30AM to find wave height here also pretty much the same size as the Outer’s at 2-4ft. The tide was starting to fill in and the wind stayed NE until the Tradey kicked in around 10.00AM. Still some there was some fun waves breaking at Balangan and the crowd was pretty good with only 30 surfers scattered across the whole line up.
Weather wise it was a mostly hot and sunny one down on the bukit with a few clouds drifting through from time to time.
Yesterday’s 6.30AM surf check from Keramas was calling in wave height on the low tide at 3-5ft with a light off shore wind, with 6 surfers already in the water
The G-Land surf report from Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height to be still in the solid 5-7ft range with some very long and clean waves peeling off on Moneytree’s

This morning the 18th our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs is showing some waist to head high between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and the occasional slightly bigger set on Middle’s. Surfing conditions were clean enough for a paddle with the wind light out of the North.
Today’s 7.45AM surf up date from Keramas was calling wave height to have all but disappeared at 1-2ft+ on the main break, 18 surfers in the water at the time
Weather wise outside now at 7.15AM we have a part sunny part cloudy start to the day. The temperature is already a warn 26 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 82%. So it looks like it’s shaping up for another hot one along the beach here in Bali.
