BALI
7th – 8th May 2014
hi folks and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday island of Bali.
OK so as I think I mentioned yesterday that there wasn’t a lot happening in the surf department. There was still waves to be surfed of course, if you made the effort. But we were waiting and hoping on a little pulse in wave size today the 8th. So we headed South down to Uluwatu. Arriving at 6.45AM to find some clean chest to head high waves with the odd slightly over head wave.
As the tide started getting lower wave height started to get a little bigger. The SE Tradey kicked in around 10.00AM and the waves kept coming through. Crowd wise it was pretty good as well with surfers spread out from Temple’s all the way down to the Main Peak and the top of the Racetrack sections.
Weather wise down on the southern end of the island there was some early morning showers then clearing up for a super hot and sunny day.
The swell charts and predictions are all lit up at the moment, and sometime tomorrow afternoon we’ll see the first installment of waves turning up. Then it’ll be pretty much non stop action with a solid system arriving on the 12th and then another in on the back of the last.
