BALI
31st May 2014
Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop with Bali since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place most sane surfers would rather be, Bali.
We got off to a bit of a late start yesterday because we had our 4 return guests arrive late the night before. So it wasn’t until around 10.00AM that we hit the Uluwatu car park. Wave height down at Bali’s premier surfing location appeared at first to only be in the 3-4ft range but it soon become clear that the set waves were a lot bigger, as it shows in some of today’s photos.
We were also hoping the morning light on shore WSW wind would soon be replaced by the SE Tradewind, but that never happened while we were down there. But all the same there were still some nice waves and the numbers in the water were pretty low for Ulu. It wasn’t until late afternoon when we were driving home that the Tradey eventually kicked in. And I have to admit that the traffic down on the bukit of an afternoon is almost as bad as it is in Kuta to Seminyak these days.
The boys at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp were calling in wave height in the 4-6ft class with a light afternoon off shore wind.
Thinking of getting over to Joyo’s G-Land surf camp for some perfect waves this season ? Just hit this contact us link and baliwaves.com will hand you a 10% discount for your next G-Land surfing adventure, as simple as that.
Weather wise down on the bukit yesterday it was 50/50 cloud and sunny patches.
This morning the 1st of June (man this year has a rocket up it’s bum, it’s going that fast) and it’s just gone 5.45AM and still too dark for a surf check. But we’ll be heading off very soon to catch the bottom of the tide. So drop in again later this afternoon and see what we’ve been up to.
