Ok so yesterday the 23rd and we were over on the East side of the island for the dawny. And we were pretty happy to see chest to over head high waves breaking and just a hint of off shore wind. There was already 12 surfers in the water but that dropped down to 8 for a good hour before another handful of surfers made the line up. It was around 10.30AM that the ESE Trade wind started to kick in and continue to get stronger and stronger.
This morning the 24th and as expected we did see another small pulse in wave height. Our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing 2-3ft with a few bigger set waves hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the Tradey kicking in through mid morning and cranking it out at 20kmh+
Weather wise it’s been a mixed bag with some sunny patches and some cloud, we even had a little bit of rainy drizzle mid morning. Right now at 5.30PM the sky is still clouded over and I’m sure it’s raining some where.
