BALI
29th – 30th June 2014
Hello everyone and thanks for calling into the baliwaves ( the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination that has something for everyone.
Ok so due to the shear volume of photos we have been getting here is yesterday’s 60 strong photo gallery that Ketut shot down at Bingin late yesterday afternoon. He also stopped in for a quick look at Uluwatu first but he reckoned there was still a little bit too much water moving for the Racetrack and so headed back to Bingin.
Today the 30th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a little. But still showing in the 2-4ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with no wind present.
So we decided to head down to Balangan beach to see what was happening. Wave height here was also in that chest to over head range and the wind by this time had turned more to the NE. We figured it wouldn’t be much longer before the SE Trade wind kicked in to tidy it all up. Only 15 surfers in the water on arrival but by the time we packed up there was around 70.
Weather wise it was a mainly cloudy and overcast morning down on the bukit and even a few drops of rain. By midday we have been back to sun shine with the wind fresh out of the SE.
Make sure you check out what’s been happening on the baliwaves by having a quick look at out “Recent Posts” box over on the right hand side of the page and you’ll notice there’s a new G-land photo gallery and a Mentawai Islands up date.
