BALI
15th – 16th June 2014
Helo surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (bringing you a little peice of Bali since 1999) for the start of another surfing week and the latest news and best views from here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so we’ve been up and rolling pretty early over the weekend just gone by trying to catch the best waves, best conditions and the lest crowds. The SE off shore Trade wind has been howling non stop and the swell has been minimal, but still there has been some nice waves if your in the right place. Uluwatu has been the place to be as just about everywhere else has been trashed by the strong wind and Uluwatu has been picking up the lions share of the 2-3ft+ swell on offer.
As it shows in our new 50 strong photo gallery the Main Peak of Ulu has been the best option. The early morning crew has been minimal and well worth the early starts. Today the 15th and wave height was down to 2-3ft and the wind gusting up to 20knot+ outta the SE. So we just had the one session and then I took the crew for a tour of the Second biggest and one of the oldest Balinese Hindu Temple’s, Pura Uluwatu.
Weather wise it’s been pretty good with mostly hot and sunny conditions, except for the howling SE wind.
Looking at the swell Forecast for the next 7 days and it’s looking damn good with a couple of solid swells in transit to Indonesia. The first should impact on Bali by Thursday morning and produces some serious waves for the serious surfers and last through till Saturday Then Monday should see the start of another very serious system. So get ready if your on island, if not stay tuned here to the original Bali surf report website.
