BALI
1st – 2nd June 2014
Hello friends of Bali and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (doing our best since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little tropical holiday island of Bali.
Ok we’ll first up here’s the photos we shot down at Balangan but just haven’t had the chance to get them on line for ya’s mainly due to the shear massive amounts of photos we have been loading.
Yesterday the 1st and Ketut and I thought we’d take our traditional 9mtr double out rigger fishing boat and engine for a cruise and see if we could catch up with some of the huge schools of Jacks and Bonito that have been hacking into the smaller baitr fish the last few days. So sorry about that folks but temptation was just too great.
Today the 2nd and after a quick surf recon (7.00AM) of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the 2-4ft range from Kuta Reef to Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean with the SE off shore Trade wind already starting to kick in. So we decided on heading down to Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Wave height at Ulu was a really consistent 3-5ft with a couple of bigger set waves for good luck. Surfing conditions here were also hard to beat with the wind more ESE by the time we got down there. I shot around 400 photos down there this morning and I’m pretty sure there’s some more sick tube time amongst them, so hang in there for these ones.
Weather wise we had a mainly hot and sunny morning with the clouds moving in by midday.
