BALI
26th – 27th August 2014
Hello surfers and thanks again for dropping into the baliwaves.com (the original and only baliwaves since 1999) for the latest news and all round best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place we’d all rather be, Bali.
Thanks to Ketut. P for today’s 60 strong photo gallery he blasted off over on the East Coast yesterday morning with two of Bali’s very talented surfers Devis Ratif and Pepen Hendrik. According to Ketut and as it shows there were some solid waves hitting the East Coast of Bali with 20 – 25 surfers in the water. Surfing conditions remained clean through until 11.00AM as the SE Trade wind gradually increased in strength blowing cross on shore at this location.
Weather wise it was mainly overcast on the East side yesterday morning with more sunny breaks later on.
Today the 27th and our 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off into the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport left / Right. Middle Reef was picking up the bigger waves (head high) while the tide was still running in. Kuta Reef and Airports were more like waist to chest high on the bigger ones.
Weather wise today it’s been a pretty good one here on the West Coast today with a mostly blue sky with some cloud passing through from time to time. Right now at 4.00PM the temperature is on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 69%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 9-13knot.
The next tide today in Bali is going to be a dry reef exposing 0.2mtr Low at 5.00PM.
So far today I’ve also loaded up a hand full of new photos into our G-land report page thanks to the crew at Joyo’s G-Land surf camp. New photos and surf reports from the team at the Kandui Surf Resort up in the Mentawai islands. Plus another solid 60 strong photo gallery from our friends at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY featuring the ever perfect waves of Bingin here in Bali. So feast your eye’s on those beauties my friends.
Swell situation is showing another new swell starting to show late on Wednesday afternoon, so Thursday morning there will be waves all over Bali. This swell won’t be as big as whats just hit us but it will still be fairly solid, slowly backing off through until Saturday afternoon. Then we might have a couple of smaller days for everyone to lick their wounds and rest up for the next round.
This Saturday night the 30th of August CHANNEL ISLANDS surfboards will be celebrating their 1st year here in Bali with food and drinks at their show room on Sunset rd Seminyak starting at 7PM. Live music and DJ, so turn up and have some fun.
Ok then that’s us for today but you know we are going to be back out there again on the wave hunt for ya’s all tomorrow. So stay tuned right here to the baliwaves.
