21st – 22nd August 2014
Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happy little tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so as I mentioned in yesterdays surf report, while the early morning wind was only still only light Ketut was over on the East Coast at Keramas seeing what was happening. So that’s were today’s photo gallery was shot. As it shows surfing conditions were still pretty clean and tidy through until 11.00AM when the SE Trade wind starting kicking in.
Today the 22nd and out 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off a notch down into the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with just a light Easterly wind.
Ketut has taken the 600mm lens down to the bukit today and has phoned through from Uluwatu calling in wave height at head to over head high on the Main Peak and Temple sections wile the tide was still on the top of the High. By 9.30AM there was around 70 surfers scattered through the line up.
From Ulu our lad took in a surf check at Bingin and Impossibles from “Ombak Suara Bungalows” backyard and said there were only 2 footers breaking on both sections. And only a few minutes ago he called through to say Balangan was also only breaking in the 2ft class with at least 40 *surfers in the water.
Weather wise outside today we have a lot more blue sky than yesterday and right now at 11.30AM the temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 79%. Wind direction is still coming out of the East but has increased in strength at 9 – 13knot.
The next tide today will be a 0.5mtr Low around 2.45PM
Swell Prediction for the next 7 days is looking pretty good with small but fun sized waves between now at Friday. Some time Saturday we will see a very solid swell slamming into Bali that will peak through the early hours of Sunday morning then slowly taper off till Tuesday. Then bam Wednesday will be delivering another solid swell riding in on the back of the last. So get ready for Bali at it’s best.
