Outer Reefs of Tuban to Uluwatu, 31st July – 1st Aug 2014

Hello everyone and welcome back to the baliwaves (still battling bad internet connections since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on every sane surfers favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.

Well on the positive side of things today’s 50 strong photo gallery was shot back down at Uluwatu yesterday the 31st, thanks to Ketut P. On the other hand we’ve spend most of today back and forwards to Indosat trying to get our internet connection working due to “un explainable problems” at their end. But that’s life as we know it in Indo. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll find out more or change our server once again.

Today the 1st and our morning surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was still showing wave height to be in the fun size of head to well over head high with maybe a few sneaky double over head set waves hitting Middle Reef. The tide was still running down at the time we checked so Middle’s was the go and there were already quite a few surfers in the line up. I’d say as the tide filled in Kuta Reef and Airport Left would have been looking pretty good as well. Not too mention every other location all the way down to Uluwatu.

Weather wise the it was another cloudy and mainly overcast morning before clearing away by late morning for a hot and sunny afternoon. Right now at 3.30PM the temperature is a warm 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 75%. Wind direction has been coming out of the ESE – SE hard and strong since day break and now gusting into the 12 – 15knot plus class.

Our weekend swell outlook is still looking real good with similar sized waves again for tomorrow and then another spike in wave height through out Sunday. In fact it looks like another full week (at least) of waves a head for the lucky boys and girls here in Bali.

That’s about all I’ve got for ya’s today, I think it’s just about time for a stress relieving Bintang and maybe watch my team beat the Briso’s. So have a good one and tune in to the baliwaves again tomorrow for another weekend full of waves.
