BALI
23rd – 24th August 2014
Hi everyone and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (working through the weekends since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the happy little tropical surfing holiday island called Bali.
Today’s photo gallery was shot by Ketut over on the East Coast at Keramas and features a couple of local boys, Devis and Sandi.
Well yesterday afternoon at 5.00PM there was still only 1-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left but we knew our new swell wasn’t far off and making it’s way to Indonesia. But when we went down for this mornings (24th) surf check on the Outers she has definitely arrived with 4-8ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There are surfers out on Kuta Reef but it’s mainly just washing past. There’s also some straight lines breaking out in the middle of Legian Bay at Karang Tengah.
We are just getting our camera gear ready now for an afternoon session down at Padang Padang, it’ll be cranking down there as the tide drops out for a 0.3mtr Low around 3.30PM. So if you can’t make it down to the Bali Pipeline make sure you stay tuned right here on the baliwaves
Weather wise today up until now it’s been a mostly warm and sunny day here in Tuban, Now at 12 noon looking out my window to the South there’s a lot of cloud starting to move in. Temperature wise right now we have 26 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 72%. Wind direction is coming hard out of the SE at 10 – 14knot+
