BALI
28th – 29th September 2014
Hello everyone and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop with Indo since 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on your favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well yesterday the 28th and my 6.45Am surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban (re-Twitter up date) was showing wave height in the 3-5ft range between Kuta reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the NW and the tide running in.
But as it shows in today’s photo gallery we made the decision to head down to the Southern end of the island to see what was happening at Balangan. Arriving at 9.00AM to find wave height also in the head to double head high class (3-5ft Bali) and the wind still light on shore out of the South. But as you can see in the photos surfing conditions were still clean enough. The fact that there were only 20-30 surfers scattered from the point to the end section made it all the more attractive. It was pretty well right on 12 noon that the SE off shore Trade wind kicked and with the out going tide the waves got a whole lot better.
Today the 29th and my 7.00AM surf check on the Outer reefs was showing wave height to have backed off into the 2-4ft range from Kuta Reef to Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean with the wind light out of the NE. So we took a gamble and headed up the coast to Canggu arriving at 9.30AM to find wave height in the 2-3ft+ range with the wind light on shore out of the ESE. Even though it was on shore at Canggu there were still some nice waves on the ex river mouth rights and the sand bar lefts. I’ll have some photos ready for ya’s tomorrow.
Weather wise it was a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island.
Tomorrow if the predictions are accurate we should see a new swell showing on our beaches and reefs. So stay tuned right here to the original Bali surf report website.
I’ve also loaded up new photo galleries from G-Land, the Mentawai islands and from our friends down at Bingin. So make sure you keep an eye on our “Recent Post” column over on the right hand side and bottom of this page.
Another big plus for the baliwaves is that we have the baliwaves WEB CAM featuring the line up of Impossibles back on line so check out the new swell as it arrives tomorrow morning live.
Ok one of the better Lombok & Sumbawa surf charter boats sent me an email earlier to let you people know that they have 3 scheduled charters left to see out the season.
Dreamweaver has only two trips with seats available before the end of our scheduled 2014 season, the dates with seats still left are Oct 9 to 16, and Oct 18 to 25. It seems that we will be the only boat operating in October so that means even less crowds to deal with, and the swells have been coming through so its looking like a great month to be here. www.dreamweaver-surf.com email – [email protected] Bali Phone 0813 38355228
