Hi folks and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com (bringing you the latest news from Bali since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on everyone’s favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.

Ok so I hope you all enjoyed the news and photo’s from the Bali Sea Turtle Conservation Centre (Kuta Beach) we loaded up for you yesterday. While I was doing that Ketut was up at Canggu beach shooting photos on the sand bar and ex-river mouth waves. So that’s what we have for ya’s in today’s 46 strong photo gallery.

Ketut arrived at Canggu around 8.00AM to find wave height in the 2-3ft range with the wind already light on shore out of the East. But surfing conditions were still clean and glassy with some nice shaped waves breaking. With the tide already filled in the number of surfers in the water was high, around 30 surfers riding the ex-river mouth right hander and 40+ surfers on the left hand sand bar, 15 more riders down on the Echo left.

I have to refer to the river mouth right hander as ex-river mouth seeing as though ever since the new developers in the area built a path way to no where. Or better described as a buffer in front of their new development coming to Canggu located in front of the sand bar. the river mouth has changed direction and now enters the ocean 70yrds south of where it used to, and has the potential to change the waves on the sand bar. That’s progress hey…

This morning the 7th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing 1-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was getting towards the top of a 2.3mtr High scheduled for 8.30AM so you still might find a small wave or two out on Airport Left.

Ketut has taken the camera equipment and headed over to the East Coast this morning and has phoned through calling in wave height at 2-3ft+. Clean and tidy surfing conditions with a light off shore wind and already 15 surfers in the water. So we’ll have some new photos for ya’s again later this evening.

Weather wise out there this morning we have a mainly blue sky with some light but high up cloud still about. But all in all I’d say we are in for another perfect Sunday here on the holiday island of Bali.
