27th September 2014
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (keeping you in the loop since 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height still to be holding in the 3-5ft range between Kuta reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with only a light Westerly wind and the tide starting to run in.
So we thought, or I should say hoped that the wind would soon swing back to the SE and off shore on the West Coast and headed down South to Balangan beach for a check. Arriving to find wave height a solid 4-6ft with maybe the odd bigger shut down set waves. There were only 4 surfers in the water and some ok looking lefts peeling off from the middle section. But the wind was now coming harder out of the West.
So jumped back in the car and headed over to the East Coast. Arriving at our destination around 10.30AM to find similar sized waves and some nice shaped right handers peeling off. But by this time the wind had gone even further around to the South but still clean enough for a quick paddle seeing as though there were no surfers in the water.
I’ve also included some photos from Bingin in today’s photo gallery sent to us from our good friends down at EGO SURF PHOTOGRAPHY.
Weather wise yesterday it wa a mainly hot and sunny day (average for Bali) with a couple of clouds drifting through from time to time. It was also a pretty nice sunset here in Tuban while I was waiting for my bro’s to get back from fishing.
This morning the 28th and at 6.45Am (re Twitter) wave height on the Outer Reefs was looking like mit had backed off just a touch with 3-4ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the wind light out of the NW.
Ok friends have a great Sunday and I’ll be back later this evening with the latest news. Plus I’ve also got a tonne of new photos fresh out of G-land thanks to the boys at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp to load up when we get back from surfing today, so stick around the original Bali surf report website.
Ok one of the better Lombok & Sumbawa surf charter boats sent me an email earlier to let you people know that they have 3 scheduled charters left to see out the season.
Dreamweaver has only three trips with seats available before the end of our scheduled 2014 season, the dates with seats still left are Sept 30 to Oct 7, Oct 9 to 16, and Oct 18 to 25. It seems that we will be the only boat operating in October so that means even less crowds to deal with, and the swells have been coming through so its looking like a great month to be here. www.dreamweaver-surf.com email – [email protected] Bali Phone 0813 38355228
