6th – 7th October 2014
Hello friends and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the start of another surfing week here in Bali and the latest news and best views on today’s surfing conditions from our favorite little tropical holiday island.
Well my day kicked off with a 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was still only showing 1-2ft waves at the time but that would soon change as the morning progressed with a small spike in size expected. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with a light and variable wind. The tide was just starting to run out.
So we thought we’d be smart and sneak over to the East Coast and see if there were any sly waves happening at Serangan. By the time we got there the wind had already switched to a fresh Easterly which is straight on shore , but there were still some nice shaped little 2-3 footers breaking and maybe half a dozen surfers still in the water. Makes me think it would have been nice on the dawn patrol.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery from there we cut back over to the West Coast and straight to Balangan. By this time wave height was a respectable chest to well over head high and surfing conditions perfect with the wind straight off shore. At 10.00AM there was only 5 surfers in the water at Balangan.
Weather wise it’s been just another perfect day here on the holiday island, blue sky and off shore wind.
I also loaded you lot up a fresh G-Land photo gallery from our friends over at Joyo’s G-land Surf Camp. You’ll find that in our G-Land surf report page of course. And baliwaves.com is still handing out 10 – 15% discounts for late season trips into G-land, just contact us first.
Apology dept, Sorry Nathan from the Sunny Coast, mate I missed your photos today, next time for sure bro and keep ripping it up.
Here’s a good question, when will a developer make some room for the kids to play here in Bali, how about some swings and shady life giving tree’s instead on more concrete walls ?
