BALI
10th October 2014
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for today’s news and views on surfing and weather conditions from here on everybodies favorite tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Our 6.45AM mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was again still showing wave height in that waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the tide just starting to run back in and the wind light on shore out of the NW.
So as you can see in today’s photo gallery we took our team up the coast a little ways to Canggu. Arriving just before 8.00AM to find wave height now in the 2-4ft class as the tide started filling in a little more. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy before the wind started to blow a bit harder from the W-SW around 10.00AM. But what blew me away was the number of surfers already in the water on the sandbar section. I counted 56 surfers on the left hand sand bottom break, which is a little bit unusual for this time of the year. The right hander on the ex river mouth also had maybe 25 surfers.
Weather wise it’s been another hot and sunny day here in Bali and right now at 4.15PM the temperature is still a warm 27 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 72%. Wind direction is still coming out of the SW at 9 – 12knot.
Tomorrow’s swell predictions are looking a little smaller than today and with more light and variable wind to go with it. But we’ll be back out there on the wave hunt so stay tuned to the baliwaves.
