BALI
14th – 15th October 2014
Hello everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (the original Bali surf report website since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little tropical holiday island that has got something for everyone. Wether it be surfing, swimming, sunning yourself, shopping, sight seeing, eating or partying, Bali has got it all.
Ok so here’s 80+ photos that we shot over on the East Coast yesterday at the ever popular location of Keramas. We arrived on the scene at 8.50AM to find clean and glassy waves in the 2-4ft range and maybe even a few double over head freak sets every now and then. We did have our sights set on surfing the Car park section but seeing as though (at first) there were only 16 surfers on the main break we changed our minds and hit the main break.
The waves were coming through pretty consistent with the tide rising. But it was only a couple of hours later that the wind shifted to the S-SSE and started to blow cross / on shore. By this time the numbers had increased to 25 in the water with the “Padma Boys” being the stand out surfers.
Weather wise it was just plain hot over on the black sand beach of Keramas.
Today the 15th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have dropped off a touch. Around the 2-3ft class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with Middle Reef picking up the odd 4ft freaky. There has been no shortage of surfers on Kuta Reef the last week, but hopefully with the end of school holidays (Aussie) the number may settle down some.
Weather wise out there today there was a little bit of light cloud about early this morning but now at 10.00AM we have a mostly blue sky. Temperature wise the mercury is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is at 84%. Wind direction is now coming back out of the E-SE at 5-8knot.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days are looking really nice with some fun with a couple of new swells in transit to Bali and G-land. Nothing super huge but wave height should stay in the head to double head high range through until next Tuesday at least.
So if anyone is thinking about a late season visit into G-land for some un crowded perfect waves in a perfect setting just contact us here at baliwaves.com and we’ll throw you a solid 10% to 15% discount on a surfing packages at Joyo’s G-Land Surf Camp.
