BALI
16th October 2014
Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (delivering the goods to you since 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the place we’d all rather be, Bali.
Kicking off our day with a 6.15Am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban to find wave height to have backed off a touch more. Around 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left while the tide was heading towards the bottom of the Low. Middle Reef was picking up the bigger head high set waves. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind light out of the East.
But as it shows in today’s photo gallery we headed down to the Southern end of the island and Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. Arriving to find around a dozen surfers in the water with wave height in the 2-3ft range and maybe the odd bigger freak set. The tide was just coming off the low and starting it’s run in so the best waves were down through the Racetrack section. As the tide filled in the Main Peak and Temple sections started to produce some fun sized waves as well. Surifn g conditions were fine with a light off shore Easterly that turned to the SE by late morning.
Weather wise it’s been just as good with pretty well just blue sky and sun shine here on Bali’s West Coast.
Make sure you check out our “Recent Posts” section over on the right hand side of the page cause you’ll find new photos and reports from G-Land, the Mentawai Islands and from our mates down at Bingin.
That’s me for today cause the Tuna steaks are ready to throw on the BBQ and our guests have got the Bintangs on ice. Your all invited to come and stay with us here at Home Base on your next Bali holiday.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days are looking really nice with some fun with a couple of new swells in transit to Bali and G-land. Nothing super huge but wave height should stay in the head to double head high range through until next Tuesday at least.
