BALI
21st November 2014
Hello everyone and thanks again for dropping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on our favorite tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Our day got started off with a 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. And as expected there was a nice little spike in wave height showing between Kuta Reef and Airport Left & Right. The tide was still running in at the time for a 2.1mtr High scheduled for just after 9.00AM so there were plenty of waves on all 3 of the main sections out there. My pick would have been Kuta Reef for some chest to slightly over head high waves. Airport Left was also looking ok at 2-3ft. While Middle Reef looked to have the most surfers on it with 2-4ft waves. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind light out of the North.
So we thought / hoped that just like yesterday the ESE off shore wind would kick in around 9.30 – 10.30AM as it had the last few days and headed down to Balangan. Arriving down there around 7.45AM to find wave height in the chest to well over head high class but with the wind still coming out of the North. Seeing as there was only a hand full of surfers in the water we stuck it out, still in hope of some more clean off shore wind. But 2 surfs later and with the wind swinging around everywhere in the NW to SW quadrants we packed it in and went home. And as Murphy’s Law has it as we had just cleared the top of the steps heading for the car park the ESE wind kick in (12.45PM). The surf was pretty ordinary at Balangan through the morning but I bet there were some nice waves through the afternoon run out tide.
I’ve also loaded a couple of images from the baliwaves webcam, one from this morning and one from this afternoon. Check it out anytime right here,

Weather wise today it’s been just another classic sunny day here on the holiday island Temperature wise right now at 3.30PM we still have a warm 30 degree’s Celsius outside, Humidity level is at 69%. Wind direction is coming from the SE at 8 – 11knot.
Ok friends stay tuned for another weekend of waves coming up here in Bali, catch ya’s tomorrow.
