BALI
25th November 2014
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (delivering you a little piece of Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the with out a doubt No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination in the World, Bali.
This mornings 6.30Am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing some nice sized waves between Kuta reef and Airport left. Actual wave height at the time was in the chest to well over head high class. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly outta the NE. The tide was way out and the reef exposed so only Middle reef was surfable at that time of the day.
But as it shows in today’s 79 strong photo gallery we were back over on the East coast for the morning run in tide. Arriving at Keramas around 8.15AM to find wave height also in the 2-4ft range with surfing conditions clean and tidy. Only 10 surfers in the water at first and probably peaking at 25 through the busiest part of the morning. The wind also started to swing more to the East by 9.30AM and steadily increasing in strength.
Around 10.00AM I had some news from Uluwatu local surfer Made Ropik calling wave height to have settled down a little from the morning and in the chest to well over head high on the sets. Made was also calling there would be good waves on the low tide section called the Racetrack on this afternoons Low, and nobody knows as good as a local right !
There’s also a half a dozen frames from the baliwaves.com Impossibles WEB CAM (hit the link) towards the end of today’s gallery and there looked to be still plenty of lines rolling into Impossibles.
Weather wise it’s been another mainly hot and sunny day here on the island of the Gods. There is some light cloud cover starting to blanket us this afternoon but I don’t believe there will be any rain today. Temperature wise right now the mercury is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius at 3.40PM, Humidity level is at 72%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE at 5-8knot.
Coming up on the 29th of this month we have our annual Pantai Jerman Sport Fishing Tournament scheduled for another big day of fishing, fun and socializing. last year baliwaves finished in 4th slot so we’ll be battling it out again this year. Plus we are throwing down a memorial prize for my departed mate “Ondel” Rp1,000,000. for the biggest Spanish Mackerel.
Hey and if you don’t already know the price of Petrol & Diesel fuel was increased by around 23% last Monday. Everything in Bali comes to Bali on the back of a truck, so get ready for some price jerks real soon on everything !
