BALI
24th – XMAS -26th December 2014
Hello friends and welcome back to your baliwaves (delivering the good to you since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little holiday island named BALI.
Ok well Christmas 2014 is done and dusted and we hope you all had a nice day be it with family or with friends. Now we just have to survive New Years Eve and thing should start getting back to normal again, right.
We shot today’s photo gallery over on the East Coast and featuring waves from the 24th and today the 26th. We ended up surfing some nice fum sized little waves by ourselves on the 24th and it was great for my crew to be out there just sharing waves with each other.
Christmas Day and it was our traditional full perfectly roasted pig for lunch here at the homestead with our guests and friends. And of course the bintang beer was also flowing freely so no surfing for us.
Today the 26th and we went back over to the East side of the island again with our first stop at Secrets. But there were already around 12 surfers in the water and with the wind on shore out of the W-SW we decided to head a little further up the coast to Keramas. Keramas was also pretty well blown out but with 2-3ft waves and the occassional bigger freak set as the tide peaked. Only 16 surfers in the water at first but as soon as tide topped out there was like an instant influx taking the numbers to 28. By this time the wind was blowing hard on shore as well…
Weather wise there’s been a fair bit of rain today and driving back home from Keramas around 1.00PM today I reckon we passed through a super cell storm just skirting the edge of torrential rain, thunder and lighting.
Hang in there tomorrow cause we are going to be back out on the road for another big day on the wave hunt.
