12th December 2014
Hi surfers band thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (doing what w do since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on our favorite little tropical surfing holiday island called Bali.
Ok well this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing wave height to be only breaking in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were not too bad with the wind only light out of the North. The tide was just about on the bottom of the low so the only option out there was on Middle Reef (being a deep reef and best on the lower end of the tide).
So we hung out until the tide started to roll back in and then headed over to the East Coast hoping to find a few un crowded waves at Secrets. Arriving around 10.15AM to see some nice and clean 2-3 footers breaking on the A frame reef and on the beach break as well. The wind was light on shore but at times glassy and still very surfable. My crew surfed the A frame left and right by themselves for just under 3hrs.
Weather wise it was another mainly overcast morning on the East side of the island but when the sun did bust out it was hot and humid.
I’ve also loaded you up a new video clip, filmed and edited by our friend and Uluwatu local surfer Made Ropik. It’s a short clip featuring his brother and Uluwatu local surfer Alik Rudiarta. So check it out it’s pretty good.
