hello friends and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (the one and only original baliwaves.com) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather from here on the Merry little tropical holiday island of Bali.
Firstly seeing as though we are getting very close to the end of another year and pretty soon if not already many of you are going to be out of office etc and shutting down for the holiday period (wouldn’t that be nice..)
So all of us (Troy, Ketut & Slim) would like to wish each and everyone of you a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A BETTER THAN USUAL NEW YEAR !!
And we do expect to see you all over here in Bali in 2015 ok !
Hey and as it shows in today’s new 60 strong photo gallery, yesterday we found our way back up the coast a little ways to more perfect fun sized waves in the 2-4ft range. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy right through until 10.45AM when the wind switched from a light NW’r to a light SW’r. Then by early afternoon it went all the way to E-SE and off shore from Kuta Reef all the way down to Uluwatu. I also loaded a couple of frames from our baliwaves free to view webcam located over looking the Impossible’s line up, hit this link anytime and take a look for yourself.
Weather wise yesterday it was a mostly hot and sunny day here on the island of the God’s, with the midday temperature smashing through and into the mid 30’s on the Celsius scale.
This mornings 6.40AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing similar sized 2-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the N-NE.
Weather wise out there this morning we have an overcast start to the day but hopefully we’ll be seeing plenty of blue sky by midday.
We’ll be heading out on the surf hunt shortly so stay tuned to us on twitter and instagram to see what’s happening in the mean time.
Ok so it’s the Chrissy / New Year’s break coming up here in Bali and if your here on island get ready for some solid domestic traffic from the “big island” from here on in till after the New Year.
