Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves (keeping you in touch with Bali since back in 1999) for the latest news, and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, BALI.

So today’s 30 strong photo gallery was snapped over on the East side on the island thanks to Ketut. Seeing as though the wind was coming out of the W/NW in the morning Ketut and our crew headed up the East Coast to Keramas to see what was happening. As it shows yeah wave height was in the 2-3ft range with the odd well over head 4ft freak set. The local surfers were dominating on the CP section while the main break had the usual high numbers. You can also see what our mini cyclone did to one of the Warungs roof, there would have been a bit of asbestos particles flying in the wind hey. I also heard reports of a warung getting blown down at Serangan and at another location on the East Coast, heavy stuff and we hope no one got hurt.

After a session at CP Ketut took the boys back down to Kapung Pt where wave height was also breaking in the 2-4ft class with only 10 surfers in the water, so it was on again for another session at Kapung Pt.

Weather wise over on the East Coast yesterday as it shows in the photos was a mixed bag of sun and cloud, with the midday temp over 30 degree’s Celsius (according to Ketut).

This morning the 23rd and our 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing 2-2ft+ waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with the wind only just coming out of the N-NW at the time.

Ketut’s got a couple of surfers with him over on the East Coast again this morning and has called through saying there’s chest to head high waves with the tide starting to fill in. So hopefully the boys score a little pulse with the tide.

I’ve also got a feeling that we are going to be seeing some more West Coast waves in the very near future.

The next tide today will be a 2.4mtr High at 1.00PM

I haven’t checked the exchange rates yet folks (no dollars left to change..) but I’ll check em out later today for you ok.
