BALI
17th March 2015
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves (your eye’s in Bali since way back in 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only sane choice for a tropical surfing holiday, Bali.
Ok so after our 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height breaking in the 1-2ft+ sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with the tide rising and the wind light out of the North we knew where we we had to go to find the right waves.
And as it shows in today’s 97 strong mega photo gallery I’ve loaded up for ya’s we definitely made the right call again. We had wave height in the 2-3ft class with a couple of freak over head set waves rolling through. Take your pick, left or right and rock or sand bottom on offer. Surfing conditions remained clean and tidy through until the wind switched to the W-WSW around 10.30AM. Crowd wise we were on the ball with not too many early risers out in the water when we turned up. But by 10.00AM it did turn into a bit of a circus. Stand out surfers today were the Padma Boys.
Weather wise we’ve had another hot and sunny holiday type of day here on the West Coast of Bali. Temperature wise the midday temperature easily busted through the 30’s on the Celsius scale.
Our next moon phase is going to have a New Moon rising on the 20th of this month. Don’t forget we have Nyepi Day (Hari Raya Nyepi) happening on the 21st of March.
