BALI
9th – 10th March 2015
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (the original Bali surf report website since back in 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little tropical surfing holiday island called Bali.
Ok so here’s 40 odd photos that Ketut shot yesterday here along Bali’s West Coast at Canggu. The boys were on location by 6.30AM to find wave height still only in the 1-2ft range but with the promise of a small pulse as the tide pushed in. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with just a light off shore breath of wind. And as usual as the tide pushed in so did the number of surfers turning up. But as the photos show there were some nice rides to be had on all 3 of the different sections available at Canggu.
Today the 10th and it was pretty much the same scenario as yesterday, only this time we were over on the East side at Carparks. We arrived around 8.30AM hoping to be there as the tide hit the right increment and be straight on it. There was no one in the water at Keramas or Carparks and just 3 surfers down on the Colonels. But as soon as the first surfer hit the water at Keramas within 30 mins there was 35 surfers on the small take off. While the boys from Uluwatu and Padma st put on a nice little show for everyone at Carparks.
Weather wise it’s been a fantastic day of sunshine with the midday temperature hitting 31 degree’s. The wind has been light and variable through the morning then dedicating to the WSW by midday.
Ok crew that’s me for today but Ketut did manage to shoot 650 photos today and I’ve got him editing them right now as I type. I’ve got to run as it’s my young mans 7th birthday today and it’s a family night out. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wayan Ray !!!
