BALI
24th March 2015
Hello everybody and thanks again for calling into the baliwaves (keeping you in the loop on Bali since way back in 1999) for the latest news and hard to beat views on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the World’s numero uno tropical surfing holiday location of Bali.
Ok here’s what we got for ya’s today, 50 smoking photos that we snapped off down at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu (for those that didn’t know). We turned up just as the tide was starting to push back in this morning to find wave height breaking on all 3 of Ulu’s main sections (Temple’s right down through the Racetrack) in the 4-5ft class with some solid 6-6ft+ bomb sets thrown in. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind blowing lightly off shore and helping to hold open some sweet tube rides for some lucky surfers.
It was around 10.00AM that the wind did turn lightly to the S-SSE but conditions were still tidy on the Main Peak. Right now at 4.00PM the wind has switched back to the East at 10knot plus. We bailed out from Uluwatu around 11.00AM and my last head count had 68 surfers from The Peak down to Temple’s.
Weather wise it’s been a beauty with non stop blue sky and sunshine, currently the afternoon temperature is still on 29 degree’s Celsius, Humidity level is at 71%, Wind is East @ 7-10knot+.
Driving home the local Police at Uluwatu were looking very busy stopping tourists on motorbikes for the obvious reasons, no helmet, no license etc working both sides of the road. So don’t be a stupido and make sure you have a current bike license and wear the proper saftey gear if your going to be riding around on a scooter. Also be prepared to be stopped by the Police quite regularly
