BALI
26th March 2015
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (showing off a little of what Bali’s got on offer since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for your next tropical surfing holiday get away, Bali.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing clean and glassy waist to shoulder high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still running out at the time so on Middle Reef was an option.
But as it shows in today’s 60+ photo gallery the baliwaves crew was back on the bukit at Bali’s No.1 surfing location, Uluwatu. Wave height down at Uluwatu started off in the 2-3ft range but as the tide crept in wave height was also pulsing to a more consistent 3-4ft with maybe a few double head high freak sets hitting the Bombie and into the Main Peak. Crowd wise it was pretty mellow with maybe 60 surfers scattered from Temple’s right down through the top end of the Racetrack. We packed up around 1.30PM and it looked to me the waves were going to be looking good for the late arvo session.
A big thanks to Made Ropik and Uluwatu Board Riders Club for my new club t-shirt and hat. Next time your down at Uluwatu you should pick up an Uluwatu Board Riders t-shirt and help support a good bunch of surfers.
Weather wise today, just hot and sunny with the midday temp busting through the 30’s on the Celsius scale.
We also have another Beach Clean Up scheduled for this Saturday morning and we would like to see some Internationals turning up and supporting the cause. Check the last photo in today’s gallery for more details and times.
