BALI
4th – 5th March 2015
Hi folks and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (keeping you in the Bali loop since back in 1999) for the latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers first choice tropical surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Alrighty here’s another 50 odd photos that we shot yesterday and today here on Bali’s West Coast. Yesterday the 4th had the best conditions with 2-4ft waves breaking on all 3 of the main sections at Canggu. While surfing conditions were as clean as it gets up there with the wind off shore out of the North.
Today the 5th and it was a whole different ball game. We pulled out from Home Base this morning heading back to Canggu. Everything was in place again, light Northerly wind and nice blue sky. But pretty well just before arriving we had a solid rain squall hit with strong Westerly wind, not so goo for Canggu. But we decided to hang out until the weather passed through and see what eventuated. Well at least there was hardly any surfers in the water, after the storm passed conditions didn’t improved to much but enough to get out there and catch some uncrowded waves. The last 13 photos in our gallery are from today.
Weather wise it was a wet and windy morning here on the West Coast, then hot and humid by late morning (including sunburn). Then just before sunset we had another mini rain storm blow in on us out of the West.
Apology department; Sorry folks but yesterday I said the Full Moon was on the 3rd, well it was last month I just hadn’t turned my calendar to March yet. So in fact the Full Moon is rising tonight the 5th.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Seminyak –1US$=Rp12,995 — 1AU$=Rp10,100 — they are the best rates I saw on a “no commision” exchange.
