BALI
14th – 15th March 2015
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (working through the weekends since back in 1999) for our Sunday Session on surfing and weather observations from here on our favorite little tropical surfing holiday destination called Bali.
Our first port of call yesterday morning the 14th was down at Balangan beach. When we left home at 7.30AM there was hardly a breath of wind only just detectable from the NE. But by the time we made the 40 min drive down there the wind was pretty strong out of the West and blow out, wave height was in the 1-3ft range with the tide Low. No other surfers in sight as you could imagine.
So we split that scene and headed back over to the East Coast of Bali hoping to find some clean waves to ride. As it shows in today’s 40 strong photo gallery we didn’t do too bad. Wave height was in the 2-4ft+ range with clean off shore wind and still only around 20 surfers scattered through the line up. It was 11.00AM when the wind started to shift a little more towards the SW and stay there.
Weather wise it was a mostly hot and sunny morning over on the East side of the island.
Today the 15th and right now at 7.00AM we have a mostly blue sky here in Tuban with the wind only just comin gout of the South at 1knot. Temperature wise the mercury is already on 26 degree’s Celsius, Humidity is present at 92%.
