Hi folks and thanks again for dropping in to the baliwaves (delivering the goods from Bali since back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on your first choice tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali / Indonesia.

Yesterday the 8th and we were surfing here on the West Coast of Bali at the ever popular Canggu beach. When we first arrived things were looking a bit grim with only 1-2ft waves breaking on all 3 main breaks. But as it shows in our 50+ strong photo gallery Huey started to provide some head high waves as the tide pushed in. Surfing conditions were super clean and glassy while we were on location. Today the 9th and our 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing a nice little improvement with 1-3ft waves breaking between Kuta reef and Airport Left. The tide was still low so Middle Reef was looking the best and getting the bigger set waves. Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind coming light out of the NE.

Ketut took a run up to Keramas this morning (photos coming) and he reckoned there were some clean waves in the 2-4ft class. But crowd wise the main break in front of the resort had 40+ surfers on it.

At the same time I was over at Serangan beach where surfing conditions were clean and glassy. Wave height was also in the 2-3ft+ sector and only a handful of surfers in the water.

Weather wise it’s been a very warm one here on the holiday island and I’d have called 30 degree’s Celsius by 9.30AM.
