BALI
7th April 2015
Hello everyone and welcome back to your baliwaves (keeping you in the loop with Bali since way back in 1999) for our latest news and best views on surfing and weather conditions from here on the World’s No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination that has something for everyone, Bali.
This mornings 6.45Am surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban (re Twitter) was showing wave height breaking in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still pretty low at the time and the wind coming out of the North at 3-5knot.
So my team and I loaded up the machine and headed over to the East Coast of Bali to see if we could find some waves. We didn’t really need to go further than “Secrets” our first stop because there were 2-4 footers breaking left and right with no other surfers in the water. So we made the mostt of the clean conditons and shared some waves with each other before a group of 10 old bodyboarders pulled up and paddlesd straight to the peak. So we let em have it seeing as though the wind had already started to shift to the South and on shore.
Weather wise it’s been a mostly overcast day and we have had a few drops of rain since we made it back home to Tuban. Right now at 4.30PM there looks to be a pitch black storm brewing just off the West Coast and somewhere is going to get really wet pretty soon.
